The Children's Zone

There are lots for families and children to do at Bradford Mela! One of the highlight this year will be the children's zone - called The Bio Dome. Performances and workshops will take place inside a huge big top and share the theme of the International Year of Biodiversity - celebrating the variety of nature and life on earth. This interactive arena for children is stuffed full of brilliant activities, including: The Great Plant Hunt, Snail Olympics, flower planting, rangoli, story-telling, making, dancing, and playing of huge percussive instruments. Natural England will be there for the whole weekend, running workshops for kids and their families, and there will be information from bsomeone. Kids can also get their faces painted, eat free fruit, drink free smoothies... and have a wonderful time!
Also for children there’s a giant funfair guaranteed to set your pulse racing, and an exciting mix of sports and community activities. They can have a go at making a costume for the Lord Mayor’s Carnival Parade; play on the swings and rides in park’s own play area; and enjoy delicious foods, sweets and ice creams available at huge array of stalls.
