Bradford Mela 2011

Bradford Mela returns with a free, action packed day filled with colour, entertainment and fun across two main stages and throughout Peel Park.

The programme includes breath-taking performances by artists from the Indian sub-continent, global music and dance and, of course, the best in bhangra and Bollywood.

A spectacular 'Dance Dhamaka' provides a dramatic finale to the day's events, bringing together a variety of dance styles from around the world.

There are lots of things for children and families to take part in – such as story-telling and play activities, crafts and costume making workshops, plus interactive sports and dance routines.

Bradford Mela opens at 10am to fit in even more hilarious street theatre performances, and give you the chance to wander around the stalls selling delicious foods and exotic gifts, and to enjoy the thrilling rides in the giant funfair.
